Since starting as an intern in the summer of 2009, Maya has worked primarily in the open space department at RPA. She is the Director of Public Programs for Governors Island Alliance and works other open space projects such as the Floyd Bennett Field Blue Ribbon Panel and the Jamaica Bay Greenway Coalition.

Maya received her Bachelors Degree in Urban Studies from Vassar College in spring 2010, and has worked full time with RPA since graduation.
