
L. Nicolas Ronderos is Director of Economic and Community Development at Regional Plan Association. He works with communities in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut region with the goal of increasing economic opportunities that promote sustained growth.
Nicolas has conducted recent RPA projects in demographic, economic and market analysis such as: Convention center market analysis and planning for the industrial areas of Newark, NJ; real estate analysis of the capitalization of Hudson River Park into adjoining properties in New York, New York; national inventory and forecast of the logistics industry demand for real estate for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties; assessment of corridor economic indicators and economic development opportunities for industrial development in the I-278 corridor in New York City; transit oriented development capacity analyses for the Second Avenue Subway in New York, NY and Penn Station Access Study for The Bronx, NY; Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) community development projects for national banks in New York City in the South Bronx and East Harlem; and demographic and economic profiles for different communities in the New York region.
He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Los Andes University, a M.S. in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University. He has received two competitive Urban Land Institute Community Action Grants and is Adjunct Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology's College of Architecture and Design on Geographic Information Systems.
