The Region is facing an undeniable housing crisis. Population is growing far faster than housing production, and the situation is much worse at low- and middle-income levels. A new, dense business district on the Far West Side will only increase the residential demand. This workshop will look at how Far West Side development will impact residential demand. Where will the next generation of housing be built? What policies are necessary to ensure that production catches up to demand?
