When: Friday, April 25, 2014, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Where: Waldorf-Astoria, New York, 301 Park Avenue
Join more than 1,000 business, civic and community leaders as we explore the state of our region and seek new ideas for improving our shared prosperity, sustainability and quality of life. At this year's Assembly, speakers, workshops and interactive presentations will look at RPA's initial research for the Fourth Regional Plan for the New York metropolitan area and discuss how to create more livable and equitable communities, protect ourselves from future catastrophes and ensure that every resident of the region gets a fair shot.
This year's invited speakers include:
Bill de Blasio, Mayor, New York City,
Cory Booker, U.S. Senator, New Jersey,
Shaun Donovan, Secretary, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development,
We also will be showcasing the winners of the Rebuild by Design competition at the Assembly. The competition is an initiative of President Obama’s Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force to develop innovative planning and design concepts aimed at making the region more resilient to severe weather events.
Please join us at the Waldorf-Astoria on April 25 to explore these topics and help chart the future of the region. Schedule and session details coming soon.
