Planners: Region 'Not Prepared' for Anticipated Cross-Hudson Traffic Surge

The Trump administration may be waffling about a new cross-Hudson tunnel, but the population trends that necessitate it are apparently inexorable.

By 2040, the number of workers commuting from west of the Hudson River into Manhattan south of Harlem could rise by 24 percent or more, according to new projections the Regional Plan Association shared with POLITICO New York.
