New Yorkers Using Upcoming Second Ave. Subway Will Have to Wait Longer for Trains

Transit experts said the Q train is constrained by its route configuration. Rich Barone, the vice president for transportation at the Regional Plan Association, had a solution — ramp up construction on the entire planned Second Ave. subway route, which is set to eventually create the T line from 125th St. to Hanover Sq. in Lower Manhattan.“We should really be thinking about building it concurrently and getting the whole thing built at once as a line,” Barone said.
