Join RPA & National Parks Conservation Assoc. for NYC's National Parks Week

poster RPA joins partner organization National Parks Conservation Association in celebrating "Feel Free: A Cause for Our National Parks," during New York City's National Parks Week.

Acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns has created a sweeping documentary film about our national parks. The National Parks: America's Best Idea, a six-episode series, will premiere September 27 on PBS stations. Celebrate this beautiful film and our national parks by joining us in preserving our nation's natural, historic, and cultural heritage for generations to come. National Parks Week will provide countless opportunities to entertain and educate the whole family, from a Lantern Tour of Fort Wadsworth to Grant's Tomb after Dark to an Evening Tour of Liberty Island.

On Wednesday, September 23, we invite you to Central Park's East Meadow for "Feel Free," an event that celebrates and pays tribute to the National Parks. "Feel Free" is designed to engage you in celebrating what has been described as one of America's best ideas. Join Ken Burns, Alison Krauss, Carole King, Counting Crows and many more artists for an evening of song and film. For more info about this event, click here.
