Group’s report envisions Newburgh as a thriving city in the future

The City of Newburgh has a prominent place in a once-in-a-generation effort to transform the metropolitan area. The not-for-profit Regional Plan Association has designated Newburgh as one of only nine “flagship places” in its recently released fourth regional plan. Previous plans were produced in 1929, the 1960s and 1996 and have been influential in shaping the 31-county New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan area.
