Green, transit groups call on Cuomo to sign off on e-bikes and scooters

A group of environmental, transportation and business advocacy organizations are calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to hop on board with e-bikes and scooters.

In a letter to the governor this week, the groups called on Cuomo to sign legislation legalizing electric bikes and scooters in the state. The Legislature approved a bill earlier this year that green-lights the devices.

The letter is signed by leaders of a list of groups that includes the Regional Plan Association, Tech:NYC, Parks and Trails New York, and the Manhattan, Bronx and Queens chambers of commerce.
