At a regional summit held at Eastern Connecticut State University, Lamont received encouragement from Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo and Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker — two toll-collecting governors whose states are receiving millions from motorists on their highways.
Noting that New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have a formalized group known as the Regional Plan Association for regional cooperation, Lamont said the governors themselves need to make it work.
