City Names Its First Regional Planning Director

“So much of what the city does affects other parts of the region and vice versa,” said Christopher Jones, the chief planner at the Regional Plan Association, the nonprofit that for decades has been the most prominent source of that sort of thinking in the metropolitan region. “When the city is planning for how much housing it needs to build in the city, it really is important to understand what's happening in Nassau, Westchester or New Jersey.”
