Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro and RPA Emphasize Importance of Infrastructure as Economic Stimulus

At a press conference in New Haven on February 2nd, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro described the American Economic Recovery Act as it was passed by the House of Representatives and emphasized the need for local support of the bill. David Kooris, RPA's Connecticut Director echoed the Congresswoman's support for the infrastructure investments in the legislation and stressed the ability of effective public works projects to provide short term jobs, medium term cost relief, and long term repositioning of the region and the nation for continued growth in a carbon-constrained world.
