Congressman Jerry Nadler, City Councilman Alan Gerson and Governors Island Alliance Chairman Kenneth Fisher will be joined by 50 Alliance civic and coalition members including sports leagues, musicians, artists, boaters and others calling for Governor Paterson to restore cuts to Governors Island and continue to allow access to the public this coming summer.
Participants will be wearing life jackets in front of a gigantic 20-foot tall pink inner tube with signs and banners reading "Keep Governors Island Afloat!".
