IMG_7109.JPG  On Wednesday morning, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stinger and coalition members from ESTA, RPA, NYPIRG Straphangers, and the Campaign for New York's Future handed out leaflets to rush-hour morning subway riders, urging them to speak up about threatened subway maintenance and service cuts.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is facing both a huge capital shortfall - with a $17 billion hole in its upcoming five-year rebuilding plan - and a projected $1.2 billion operating deficit for 2009.
